      The objective was to describe the didactic competencies for teaching content in mathematics and language in the Educational Institution "Camilo Namen Frayia", of the Department of El Cesar, Colombia. The contributions of Zambrano (2017), Patiño, Patiño and Pulido, (2019), Castro, Cruz and Ojeda, (2020) and Herrera (2019) were used. The research was descriptive with a field design; a structured interview was applied to a sample of 14 mathematics and language teachers. As conclusions, it was found that the didactic competences for teaching content in language are very adequate, and not very suitable for teaching of content in mathematics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      El objetivo fue describir las competencias didácticas para la enseñanza de contenidos en matemática y lenguaje en la institución educativa "Camilo Namen Frayia", del Departamento El Cesar, Colombia. Se utilizaron los aportes de Zambrano (2017), Patiño, Patiño y Pulido, (2019), Castro, Cruz y Ojeda, (2020) y Herrera (2019). La investigación fue descriptiva con diseño de campo; se aplicó una entrevista estructurada en una muestra de 14 docentes de matemática y lenguaje. Como conclusiones se tuvo que las competencias didácticas para la enseñanza de contenidos en lenguaje son muy adecuadas, y poco adecuadas para la enseñanza de contenidos en matemática.
