      The objective was to analyze the elements of the Yaqui culture as an ethno-tourist attraction in the southern region of Sonora, Mexico. It was supported by the contributions of Macionis and Plummer (2011), and Buenaño and Marca (2015). The type of research was analytical, with a field design. A structured interview was applied to ten informants, leaders related to ethnicity. The results obtained show that the cultural sector is not totally in favor of the inclusion of the tribe as a tourist attraction; however, the various factors that intervene to enhance this attraction, such as values, traditions and beliefs, stand out.       El objetivo fue analizar los elementos de la cultura Yaqui como atractivo etnoturistico en la región del Sur de Sonora, México. Se sustentó con los aportes de Macionis y Plummer (2011), Buenaño y Marca (2015). El tipo de investigación fue analítica, con diseño de campo. Se aplicó una entrevista estructurada a diez informantes, líderes relacionados con la etnia. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian, que el sector cultural no está totalmente a favor de la inclusión de la tribu como atractivo turístico; sin embargo, se destacan los diversos factores que intervienen para poder potenciar dicha atracción, tales como valores, tradiciones y creencias.
