Reports on the success of a program at the Ysleta Elementary School in El Paso, Texas, which has gotten parents actively involved in their children's education in the 1990s. Details of the El Paso Interreligious Sponsoring Organization (EPISO); How in 1991 Texas passed a law which held all public schools accountable for their students' performance on standardized tests; How in the fall of 1998, each student in grades three through six at Ysleta Elementary received a laptop computer.
