      En el presente trabajo se describen las condiciones político-históricas para la construcción de ciudadanía. A tales efectos se tocan los siguientes aspectos: la Evolución del concepto de ciudadanía, Ciudadanía y postmodernidad: El papel del gobierno, y El papel del ciudadano en la construcción de ciudadanía. Se basa en una revisión bibliografía y en línea. Se concluye que los escenarios sociales deben ser por excelencia el espacio para el análisis crítico de sí misma, del individuo y del conocimiento comunitario. ; The paper described the political and historical conditions for the construction of citizenship. To this aim the following aspects are taken in consideration: the evolution of citizenship concept, Citizenship and post modernity: The role of the government and the citizen's role in the construction of citizenship. The paper is based on a literature and online review. We conclude that social settings should be par excellence the space for critical analysis of itself, individual and community knowledge.
