Mapeamento da produção científica sobre a agricultura familiar nos programas de pós-graduações: teses defendidas no Brasil, 2000-2009

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação ; A pesquisa concerne num mapeamento da produção científica em teses de doutorado sobre agricultura familiar produzidas no período de 2000 a 2009 nos programas de pós-graduação reconhecidos pela Capes no Brasil. Elege como fonte para a coleta de dados o Banco de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES). Quanto a metodologia a pesquisa é exploratória, com abordagem qualiquantitativa, o procedimento técnico é documental e quanto a análise de conteúdo usou-se o método de Bardin. Caracteriza as teses com base nas seguintes variáveis: gênero da autoria, origem dos trabalhos (universidade, programa, área do conhecimento, linha de pesquisa), orientadores e suas abordagens. Compõem o corpus da pesquisa 154 teses que possuem como foco principal de abordagem a agricultura familiar. As teses foram selecionadas nessa perspectiva a partir da estratégia restrita de busca para a recuperação com o termo: agricultura familiar. Os resultados mostram que: o desenvolvimento de teses com a temática com o foco principal em agricultura familiar teve crescimento gradual no número anual de produções a partir de 2000, com intensificação a partir de 2007, atingindo no ano de 2009, 33 defesas. Em relação à região de sua defesa destacam-se as instituições localizadas nas regiões Sul (UFPR, UFRGS, UFSC, UFPEL, UEL, UNISINOS) e Sudeste (UNICAMP, UNESP, UFV, USP, UFRRJ, PUCSP, UFRJ, UFSCAR, UFLA, UFMG), que são responsáveis por 73% do total das teses. Os orientadores mais produtivos nessa temática estão vinculados às instituições UFPR, UNICAMP, UNB, UFRGS, UFSC, UNESP, UFPB, UEL. As áreas do conhecimento dos programas que se destacam na pesquisa da temática agricultura familiar são Sociologia (23 teses), Agronomia (22 teses) e Cursos Interdisciplinares (15 teses), embora tenha sido objeto de abordagem em 30 diferentes áreas do conhecimento. Observa-se que 58% dessas teses foram produzidas por homens; na análise temática foram identificadas 121 teses que tratam de temas relacionados mais diretamente ao desenvolvimento rural e 21 à produção rural propriamente dita. Abordagens únicas de 12 teses foram agrupadas em uma categoria denominada outros. No cômputo geral sobressaíram as abordagens cujo enfoque principal foi dirigido para ações, políticas e atores como abordagens voltadas para o desenvolvimento rural, abrangendo 73 teses nas quais estão incluídos trabalhos que trataram de ações educativas (16 teses); políticas públicas (13 teses), gestão (10 teses), assentamento (7 teses), associativismo (7 teses), enfoques direcionados a atores específicos (6 teses), trabalho (6 teses), pluriatividade (5 teses) e legislação (3 teses). Conclui que o mapeamento realizado possibilitou inventariar a produção realizada no período analisado e mostrar indícios de que as abordagens são influenciadas pelo meio e pelo contexto, visto que os estados com maior número de produção em teses sobre a temática agricultura familiar são os que apresentam a atividade deste segmento da economia mais estruturada e desenvolvida ; This thesis gathers data from doctoral dissertations about familiar agriculture defended at Brazilian graduate programs recognized by the Committee for Postgraduate Courses in Higher Education (CAPES) in the period of 2000 to 2009. The bank of thesis and dissertations from CAPES was consulted to gather the data. The doctoral dissertations were then organized according to the variables of gender of the author, work origin (university, program, area of investigation, line of research), advisors, and to their content. The corpus has 157 doctoral dissertations whose main focus was on familiar agriculture since it was the expression adopted to search for the dissertations. The results indicate that (a) the number of doctoral dissertations about familiar agriculture gradually increase from the year 2000, especially after the year 2007, gathering a number of 33 doctoral dissertations in the year 2009; (b) among universities where the doctoral defenses occurred appear universities such as UFPR, UFRGS, UFSC, UFPEL, UEL, UNISINOS from the South of Brazil, and UNICAMP, UNESP, UFV, USP, UFRRJ, PUC-SP, UFRJ, UFSCAR, UFLA, UFMG from the Southeast of the country responsible for about 73% of the doctoral dissertations on familiar agriculture; (c) among the professors, who are considered to be more productive in this area, work at UFPR, UNICAMP, UNB, UFRGS, UFSC, UNESP, UFPB, UEL; among the areas of investigation, 33 doctoral dissertations were defended at the graduate programs in Sociology, 22 in graduate programs in Agronomy, 15 in interdisciplinary programs but the theme familiar agriculture was studies in 31 different programs; (d) 58% of the dissertations were written by men; (e) 122 dissertations discussed any aspect of rural development, 21 discussed the rural production itself and the remaining ones discussed specific themes and were thus grouped in another group called Others; (f) among the 73 dissertations that discussed the theme of rural development, sixteen of them discussed theme of education, thirteen discussed public policies, ten discussed management, seven discussed settlement, seven discussed associations, six were devoted to specific actors, six discussed work, five discussed pluriactivity and three discussed legislation. Thus, I concluded that it was possible to search for the dissertations defended in the period from 2000 to 2009 and bring initial evidences that themes investigated are influenced by the context since the majority of the dissertations on familiar agriculture have been defended in which it represents an important segment on their economy and is better structure and developed
