ORAL MANIFESTATION OF PENFIGOID INJURY - CASE REPORT AND LITERATURE REVIEW ; MANIFESTAÇÃO ORAL DE LESÃO PENFIGÓIDE - RELATO DE CASO E REVISÃO DA LITERATURA

The pemphigoid of mucous membranes describes as a group of chronic mucocutaneous bullous diseases, autoimmune. Oral manifestations are perceived in most patients, but can occur in other locations, such as the conjunctival, nasal, esophageal, laryngeal and vaginal mucosa, as well as the skin. This paper aims to report a case of oral pemphigoid and review the current literature on the subject, such as the purpose of diagnosis and treatment. The literature review was conducted through a search in the scientific literature indexed in scientific databases such as Scielo, PubMed, Lilacs, Virtual Health Library and also academic theoretical bibliography. Although oral pemphigoid is not such a common condition in dental offices, knowledge about these oral lesions is extremely important, making the correct diagnosis and referring these patients to the appropriate treatment. With this we can conclude with this article that the pemphigoid of the mucous membrane is a chronic pathology, and in some cases it manifests itself in a more aggressive way, but rarely fatal. Therefore, treatment will depend on the location, rate of progression and severity of the manifestation of the pathology. ; O penfigóide das membranas mucosas descreve como grupo de doenças bolhosas mucocutâneas crônicas, autoimunes. As manifestações orais são percebidas na maioria dos pacientes, mas pode ocorrer em outras localizações, tais como a mucosa conjuntival, nasal, esofágica, laríngea e a vaginal, bem como a pele. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo relatar um caso de penfigóide oral e revisar a literatura atual sobre o tema, tais como finalidade de diagnóstico e tratamento. A revisão de literatura foi conduzida através de uma busca na literatura científica indexada nas bases de dados científicos tais como Scielo, PubMed, Lilacs, Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde e também de bibliografia teórica acadêmica. Apesar do penfigóide oral não ser uma condição tão comum em consultórios odontológicos, é de extrema importância o conhecimento sobre estas lesões orais, realizando o correto diagnóstico e encaminhar estes pacientes para o tratamento adequado. Com isso podemos concluir com este artigo que o penfigóide da membrana mucosa é uma patologia crônica, e em alguns casos se manifesta de forma mais agressiva, mas raramente fatal. Sendo assim o tratamento dependerá do local, taxa de progressão e gravidade da manifestação da patologia.
