KUR'AN TERCÜMELERİNİN SORUNU: ÇOKANLAMLILIK.

THE COMPLEXITY OF QUR'AN TRANSLATION: POLYSEMY.

The Quran is the last Holy Book sent in Arabic to all Mankind. Since the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) there were attempts to translate the Qur'an into other languages. The translation is generally a very difficult process. In addition, when the Holy Book is translated, the difficulty is doubled. It must be emphasized that in Arabic, as in other languages, there are polysemy and synonymy. This is one of the most difficult issues in translation. The main reason is that polysemy and synonymy are dynamisms of language. In this regard, scholars try to draw attention to the study of the meaning of Arabic words during the period of descending of the Quran. This work attempts to discuss the problems of translation of polysemy in translations of the Holy Book. The study also examines the semantic issues of the words in the Arabic language during the time of Prophet Muhammad. Further, the paper analyzes the views and recommendations of scholars on these problems. Authors express their own scholarly views concerning the topic as the conclusion of the paper. Kur'an-ı Kerim, tüm insanlığa gönderilen son kutsal kitaptır ve dili Arapçadır. Hz. Muhammed'in zamanından bu yana Kur'an'ın diğer dillere tercüme edilmesine yönelik çok girişimler olmuş ve neticede Kur'an-ı Kerim birçok dile çevrilmiştir. Çevirinin kendisi genellikle çok zor bir süreç olmakla bu süreç kutsal metinler söz konusu olduğu zaman iki katına çıkar. Arapçada da diğer dillerde olduğu gibi çok anlamlılık vardır. Hele hele çokanlamlılık Arapçanın en önemli özelliğidir. Çokanlamlılık sorunu çeviride en zor süreç olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bunun nedeni de dilin doğasının devamlı gelişmesi ve değişmesidir. Bilim adamları Kur'an'ın nüzul dönemindeki Arapça kelimelerin anlamlarını belirleme sorununa dikkat çekmişler. Kur'an kelimeleri zikredilmiş oldukları yere, siyak ve sibaka göre muhtelif manalara gelebilmektedirler. Biz de bu çalışmada, Kur'an-ı Kerim'deki çokanlamlılık sorununu ele alarak Kur'an'ın nüzul dönemindeki Arapçadaki kelimelerin anlamlandırılmasının zorluğuna işaret ettik. Sonra bilim adamlarının bu konudaki görüş ve önerilerini dile getirdik. Çalışmamızın sonunda, çokanlamlılık çevirisindeki sorunu ele alarak ele bazı çözümleri ve düşüncelerimiz belirttik.
