The Impact of Applying Cybersecurity Standards on Reducing Risks in Commercial Banks in Riyadh During the Year 2025.

المستخلص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل أثر تطبيق معايير الأمن السيبراني في الحد من المخاطر في البنوك التجارية بمدينة الرياض، في ظل التحول الرقمي المتسارع الذي جعل حماية المعلومات واستمرارية العمليات ضرورة استراتيجية للقطاع المالي. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الكمي، واعتمدت على الاستبانة الإلكترونية أداة لجمع البيانات من عينة قصدية من العاملين في إدارات الأمن السيبراني وإدارة المخاطر وتقنية المعلومات في البنوك التجارية. وتناولت الدراسة ثلاثة أبعاد رئيسة المعايير الأمن السيبراني، هي : أمن الأفراد، وأمن ضبط المعلومات، والأمن المادي، وقيست آثارها على المخاطر الكلية باستخدام تحليل الانحدار المتعدد عبر برنامج SPSS. وأظهرت النتائج أن تطبيق معايير الأمن السيبراني أسهم بفاعلية في خفض مستوى المخاطر التشغيلية والمعلوماتية والامتثالية، وأن بعد أمن ضبط المعلومات كان الأكثر تأثيرًا، يليه أمن الأفراد ثم الأمن المادي وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة دمج الأطر الأمنية ضمن استراتيجيات التحول الرقمي للبنوك السعودية، وتعزيز التدريب والوعي الأمني للعاملين بما يحقق بيئة مصرفية أكثر أمانًا واستدامة، انسجاما مع رؤية السعودية 2030. This study aimed to analyze the impact of applying cybersecurity standards on reducing risks in commercial banks in Riyadh, within the context of the accelerating digital transformation that has made information protection and operational continuity a strategic necessity for the financial sector. The study employed a quantitative method and relied on an electronic questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection from a purposive sample of employees working in cybersecurity, risk management, and information technology departments in commercial banks. Three main dimensions of cybersecurity standards were examined - personnel security, information control security, and physical security-and their effects on the overall level of risk were measured using multiple regression analysis through the SPSS software. The results indicated that the application of cybersecurity standards effectively contributed to reducing operational, informational, and compliance risks, with information control security having the strongest impact, followed by personnel security and physical security. The study recommended integrating cybersecurity frameworks within digital transformation strategies in Saudi banks and enhancing employee training and awareness to achieve a safer and more sustainable banking environment aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
