This work is a student project of the Department of History, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University. ; The History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Araştırmanın temel amacı, basının kullandığı söylemin bu dönemde hangi yönlerden farklılaştığını, kullanılan dilin nasıl bir etkileri olduğunu ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmada birincil ve ikincil kaynaklardan yararlanılacaktır. Kriz döneminde medya dilinin nasıl şekillendiğinden, yumuşama dönemindeki anlatıların nasıl ortaya çıktığından, medyanın toplumların birbirini algılama biçimindeki etkisinden bahsedilecektir. ; This study will examine how Turkish-Greek relations were reflected in the media between 1990 and 2005. The primary objective of the research is to reveal the ways in which the discourse used by the press differed during this period and the impact of the language used. The study will utilize primary and secondary sources. The study will explore how media language was shaped during the crisis, how narratives emerged during the détente period, and the media's impact on how societies perceive each other. ; by İrfan Ertan
