Community cyberinfrastructure for numerical modeling in earth-surface geoscience

Geoscientists and civil engineers use a wide variety of numerical models to study earth processes, ranging from geohazards (e.g., landslides, floods, coastal erosion) to long-term geology (e.g., landscapes & sedimentary basins). The research community needs tools to couple models, create new codes, and develop cyber-skills. The Community Surface Dynamics Modeling System (CSDMS) provides community coordination, computing tools, and resources for education .
