Effects of Early Childhood Development Promotion Program on Knowledge and Practice of Teachers in Childhood Development Center, Health Service Region 3 ; ผลการใช้โปรแกรมการส่งเสริมสุขภาพเด็กในสถานพัฒนาเด็กปฐมวัย (4D) ต่อระดับความรู้และการปฏิบัติของครู/ผู้ดูแลเด็ก เขตสุขภาพที่ 3

The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of early childhood development promotionprogram on knowledge and practice of teachers in Childhood Development Center, Public Health Region3. It was conducted as quasi-experimental research with one group pretest–posttest design. A total of 338participations were improved quality early childhood teachers. The multi-stage sampling was applied toselect the sample of 32 teachers. The experimental group participated in health promotion program on NationalStandard for Early Childhood Care, Development and Education Thailand, received 12-week activitiesof educating group discussion; practice skills for 4 lessons: Diet, Development, Dental, and Disease,or 4D; exchange learning through Line group; and monitoring and evaluation. Data were collectedthrough a 3-pars questionnaire: personal data, knowledge of caring for early childhood and practice ofcaring for early childhood. Instruments were examined for content validity by qualified experts, index ofitem objective congruence: IOC, between 0.70 – 1.00 for all items, respectively. Reliability was testedby Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, yielding values of 0.97 and 0.93, respectively. Data were analyzedusing descriptive statistics, paired sample t-test. It was found that the mean score on knowledge andpractice of teachers in childhood of the experimental group, after receiving the health promotion programwas statistically significantly higher than before (p<0.05).
