    • Abstract:
The data set consists of grain yield estimates (kg/ha) from a late-stage statewide multi-environment trial of common wheat (Triticum aestivum) conducted in California over growing seasons between 2004 and 2018 by the Small Grains Program of the University of California, Davis. Following quality control procedures the data set consists of 211 genotypes, tested in 9 locations and 14 seasons. A randomized complete block design with four replications was used at all trial locations. Tests were sown at seeding rates of 2.5 to 3 million seeds/hectare. Each test plot was six to nine drill rows wide (12 to 22 cm row spacing) and 4.5 to 6 meters long.
