La rivière et sa mise en paysage dans les parcs et jardins : étude de cas dans l'Ouest français

International audience ; The aim of this article is to study the different ways to use the water resource (energetics, aesthetics) in the parks and gardens. Two hypothesis will be examined: the parks and gardens are pertinent landscape's pattern to observe the use trajectories of the water resource and these hydrodynamic consequences. The human action on hydrosystems doesn't cause obviously degradations and may generate landscape diversity and hydraulic ingenuity (Baridon, 2007). These spaces will be analyse trough geohistoric approach, complementary of the history of art and of park and garden. It provide a description of study sites, an analysis of projects and hydraulics intention, an analysis of the landscape made, of the pattern transformations and of the river dynamics between Renaissance and the XIX century. This research focus on two cases of study selected in the Couasnon watershed (265 square kilometers) that is a tributary river of the Loire. The choose approach link the systemic analysis of the river landscape trajectory into the river’s patterns applied are considerate as an expression of the interaction nature/society, with a characterisation of hydraulics engineering of the park in the valley context. The study includes a diachronic analysis of a set of map and plans, photography and land’s observations. ; L'objectif de cet article est d'étudier les formes de mobilisation de la ressource en eau (énergétique, esthétique) dans les parcs et jardins. Deux hypothèses seront examinées : les parcs et jardins sont des motifs paysagers pertinents pour observer les trajectoires d'usage de la ressource en eau et ses conséquences hydrodynamiques ; l'artificialisation des hydrosystèmes n'est pas toujours synonyme de dégradation mais peut au contraire être génératrice de diversité paysagère et d'ingéniosité hydraulique (Baridon, 2007).
