"Al-Kafiya" by the Arabic linguist Ibn Hajib (1174–1249) has been one of the main grammar guides in schools and madrassas for several centuries. One of the main reasons for this was that the work was written in a simple and understandable language. In his work Al-Kafiya, Ibn Hajib provides information about the letters of the Arabic language — prepositions, conjunctions, and prepositions — and calls them all كلمة — words. He explains the auxiliary words by dividing them into 16 groups. This article attempts to provide more complete information about the series of letters and words considered in the work. Keywords: "al-Kafiya", Arabic language, Arabic grammar, harf, hurufu-l-jarr, preposition, conjunction, auxiliary words
