Join / Membership
Understand the difference between an Online account and membership for borrowing library materials.
Online account
An Online account lets you sign in to permitted MAKTABA online services. It does not automatically give you physical-borrowing privileges.
Access to individual digital resources and services remains subject to their current configuration and provider conditions.
Borrowing membership
You need borrowing membership to borrow physical library materials. A valid Emirates ID is required.
- Adult membership: age 15 and above.
- Children’s membership: under 15.
