History of Censorship in Nigeria.

A country that has undergone tremendous political upheaval and divisions and historically a large supplier of the slave trade, Nigeria sought independence from the British in 1945. Resolutions were finally drawn up by the 1950s, which established three individual regions of Nigeria with parliaments similar to that of Britain. Independence came in 1960, but the three main rival ethnic groups fought for control.
