      The article discusses quantum dots as a means to monitor and fight diseases by illuminating the workings of cells. A description of quantum dots as minisemiconductors is also presented. Topics discussed include the use of a super-resolution fluorescence microscopy to produce sharper images through the flickering particles of quantum dots, magnetic supernanoparticles, and the quantum rattle which is a quantum dot tool to fight diseases.
