- Additional Information
- Abstract:
Pomalidomide is used in combination with dexamethasone to treat multiple myeloma (a type of cancer of the bone marrow) that has not improved during or within 60 days of treatment with at least two other medications, including lenalidomide (Revlimid) and a proteasome inhibitor such as bortezomib (Velcade) or carfilzomib (Kyprolis). Pomalidomide is in a class of medications called immunomodulatory agents. It works by helping the bone marrow to produce normal blood cells and by killing abnormal cells in the bone marrow.
