      The article looks at how the noncommercial food sector in the U.S. address the issue of food insecurity. Topics include the after-school supper program at Highland View Elementary School in Bristol, Virginia, the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs at Bristol Virginia Public School district, and the Swipes for Us initiative at the University of California Santa Barbara. The issue of food insecurity across the U.S. is explored.
