This text presents an analysis of the written production of university teachers, focusing attention on; because it is fundamental for teachers to prepare written texts of their work as teachers, this, with the intention of sustaining the idea that the exercise of writing, when done in a conscious manner, is a powerful instrument to enhance the skills of the teacher in the classroom Likewise, throughout this article an exercise of provocation is made to the teachers, so that they are motivated to write about their pedagogical practices. Este texto presenta un análisis de la producción escrita de los docentes universitarios, centrando la atención en por qué es fundamental para los maestros elaborar textos escritos de su quehacer como docentes; lo anterior tiene la intención de sustentar la idea de que el ejercicio de la escritura, cuando se realiza de manera consciente, es un poderoso instrumento para potenciar las habilidades del docente en el aula de clase.
