      Education is the most important pillar of development in all fields. That is why Iraqi politicians, headed by King Faisal the First, after ascending the throne of Iraq, took care of organizing the educational process and opening and expanding schools. The city of Tikrit received a side of that attention, so a number of Tikrit men offered their lands to establish schools and a number of others. He volunteered to build it in order to get rid of ignorance and openness to the world, while the madrassas that are part of the mosques remain, in which the mullahs teach their students the Holy Qur’an and its interpretation. Thus intellectual life has been activated in Tikrit with the building of the first government school, followed by other schools to extend to the neighboring suburbs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      يعد التعليم أهم أركان التطور في المجالات كافة، لذلك اعتنى الساسة العراقيون وعلى رأسهم الملك فيصل الأول بعد تسنمه عرش العراق على تنظيم العملية التربوية وفتح المدارس وتوسعها، وقد حظيت مدينة تكريت بجانب من ذلك الاهتمام، فقدم عدد من رجال تكريت أراضيهم لإقامة المدارس وعدد آخر منهم تطوع لبنائها للتخلص من الجهل والانفتاح على العالم مع بقاء الكتاتيب التي هي جزء من الجوامع يعلم فيها الملالي طلبتهم القرآن الكريم وتفسيره، وهكذا نشطت الحياة الفكرية في تكريت مع بناء أول مدرسة حكومية تبعها مدارس أخرى لتمتد إلى النواحي المجاورة.
