    • Subject Terms:
    • Abstract:
Due to its extension and complexity, the resolution of the Colombian armed conflict has required multiple political, social, and judicial tools, used by the State to negotiate with groups outside the law and guarantee victims the right to justice, truth, repair and nonrepetition. These mechanisms are, on the one hand, the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, in charge of administering justice and hearing the crimes committed because of the conflict, and the Justice and Peace Law, being the first transitional justice system established in Colombia. and therefore, its precedent in the matter. This article aims to analyze those lessons that the Special Jurisdiction for Peace of the Justice and Peace Law must take into consideration, in order not to repeat its mistakes, but, above all, to achieve reparation for the victims of the armed conflict, reconciling at the same time the need to establish justice and the desire to know the truth about what happened. • Abstract:
