    • Abstract:
The article offers a perspective on a study which provided a meta-analysis for associations between per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and human clinical biomarkers for liver injury. The authors stress the consistency of PFAS associations to liver biomarkers. They note the importance of PFAS hepatotoxicity to studying PFAS-induced liver damage from steatosis represented by higher transminases, disruptions in lipid/bile acid metabolism and higher uric acid.
