Topics include link made by Ken Bigger, a senior fellow in American Library Association's (ALA's) Center for the Future of Libraries, on literacy and civic fluency, background on the calls for library intervention and support, and estimate made by the National Bureau of Economic Research on the percentage of the children of parents with low literacy who will experience low literacy themselves.
