The Press and Legislation Department of the "Dinicu Golescu" Argeș Public County Library was created by separating the newspaper and magazine collections from the rest of the document collection, facilitating the reading, information, documentation and research process. The periodicals department offers documentation services in the reading room, as well as telephone and online consultation. The Press and Legislation Department also houses old magazines from the 19th century to the interwar period. In order to enhance the value of this specific collection of publications, thematic exhibitions of photographic reproductions of these documents are periodically organised. Written Roman law was received in Western Europe in the form of Justinian's compilations, known as the Corpus iuris civile, and was called Civil Law. This collection consists of four parts: the Institutes, the Pandects, the Codex and the Novenas, and was enacted around 530 A.D. In the department's repository is kept the first volume, Year I (1921) of the monthly Pandects of Romania. Jurisprudence. Doctrine and Legislation, on civil, commercial, criminal, administrative, public and international law, under the direction of Constantin Hamangiu, advisor to the High Court of Cassation and Justice. As a means of consulting legislation, the library also offers users the Lex Expert programme, which is easy to use and understand, designed to support specialists in the legal, economic, technical or financial fields. Secția de Presă și Legislație din cadrul Bibliotecii Județene „Dinicu Golescu" Argeș a fost constituită prin separarea colecțiilor de ziare și reviste de restul fondului de documente, facilitând procesul de lectură, informare, documentare și cercetare. Secția de periodice oferă servicii de documentare în sala de lectură, cât și consultanță telefonică și online. Secția de Presă și Legislație adăpostește și reviste vechi, din secolul al XIX-lea până în perioada interbelică. Din dorința de a valorifica acest fond specific de publicații, periodic, se organizează expoziții tematice de reproduceri fotografice ale acestor documente. Dreptul roman scris a fost recepționat în Europa Occidentală sub forma compilațiilor lui Iustinian, denumite Corpus iuris civile, și a fost denumit Drept civil. Această colecție se compune din patru părți: Institutele, Pandectele, Codex și Novelele și au fost edictate în jurul anului 530 d.H. În depozitul secției se păstrează Caietul I, Anul I (1921) al Repertoriului lunar Pandectele Române. Jurisprudență. Doctrină și Legislație, în materie de drept civil, comercial, penal, contencios administrativ, drept public și drept internațional, sub direcțiunea lui Constantin Hamangiu, consilier la Înalta Curte de Casație și Justiție. Biblioteca oferă utilizatorilor, ca mijloc de consultare a legislației, și programul Lex Expert, ușor de manevart și înțeles, conceput pentru a sprijini specialiștii din domeniile juridic, economic, tehnic sau financiar.
