The research dealt with the impact of political developments on Sadat’s assumption of power and his monopoly of power in Egypt from 0790-0791. It touched on the role of the members of the Supreme Executive Committee of the Socialist Union and the Council of Ministers in Sadat assuming the position of president and how he was able to transform their convictions and thus their bias towards him and nominate him for the position of president, and how Sadat was able to He wins the position of President of the Republic, beginning a new phase in Egyptian history, which is one of the most dangerous phases that Egypt has passed through, as in the seventies, the largest war was fought with (Israel) and a peace treaty was concluded with it. This constituted a historical turning point in the lives of Sadat and Egypt. Sadat launched a movement against the symbols and men of the Nasserist regime, which he called the “Revolution of Correction,” which still carries many secrets and mysteries, and many of the details of its events and behind-the-scenes are still kept secret. Therefore, the importance of the events of May 1971 lies in the serious shift they brought about in the direction of Egyptian political thought internally and externally. In particular, and a turning point in contemporary Egyptian history in general, as it represented a coup against the Nasserist regime with all its material and intellectual legacies and what the Nasserist experience produced over twenty years of the revolution. The research discussed the issue of political reform and its place in the political peace, which was one of its priorities in the Egyptian street. The debate was intense and ongoing on the Egyptian political scene, which is considered the most important issue of all because of its significant role in establishing a true democratic life, especially since all national forces agree that the treatment What is decisive for getting out of the problems and challenges that Egypt faces is democracy, on the basis of which a clear formula is determined to regulate the relationship between the ruler and the ruled, in addition to dealing with the events of the uprising that occurred in 1977. تناول البحث اثر التطورات السياسية في تولي السادات الحكم وانفراده بالسلطة في مصر ۱۹۷۰ - ۱۹۸۱ ، إذ تطرق الى دور أعضاء اللجنة التنفيذية العليا للاتحاد الاشتراكي ومجلس الوزراء في تولي السادات منصب الرئيس وكيف استطاع تحويل قناعاتهم وبالتالي انحيازهم اليه وترشيحه لشغل منصب الرئيس ، وكيف استطاع السادات ان يفوز بمنصب رئيس الجمهورية لتبد. مرحلة جديدة من التاريخ المصري وهي من اخطر المراحل التي مرت على مصر إذ تم في عقد السبعينيات خوض اكبر حرب مع (اسرائيل) وعقد معاهدة السلام معها مهذا ما شكل انعطافة تاريخية في حياة السادات ومصر . قام السادات بحركة ضد رموز ورجال النظام الناصري اطلق عليها " ثورة التصحيح " والتي ما زالت تحمل الكثير من الأسرار والخفايا، ولا يزال الكثير من تفاصيل احداثها وكواليسها طي الكتمان، لذا تكمن أهمية أحداث مايو ۱۹۷۱ فيما أحدثته من تحول خطير في توجه فكر السياسية المصرية داخلياً وخارجياً بشكل خاص، ونقطة تحول فاصلة في التاريخ المصري المعاصر بشكل عام، حيث مثلت انقلابا على النظام الناصري بكل موروثاته المادية والفكرية وما أنتجته التجربة الناصرية على امتداد عشرين عاما من الثورة ناقش البحث قضية الإصلاح السياسي ومكانتها في السلم السياسي الذي كانت من اولوياته في الشارع المصري وكان الجدل محتدم ومستمر على الساحة السياسية المصرية التي تعد أهم القضايا على الإطلاق لما لها من دور بالغ في إقامة حياة ديمقراطية حقيقية ، خاصة أن كل القوى الوطنية تجمع على أن العلاج الحاسم للخروج من المشاكل والتحديات التي تواجهها مصر هو الديمقراطية التي تحدد على أساسها صيغة واضحة لتنظيم العلاقة بين الحاكم والمحكومين، فضلا على انه عالج احداث الانتفاضة التي وقعت في عام ۱۹۷۷.
