The Effectiveness of the six-dimensional Strategies (PDEODE) and The Gardens of Ideas in Developing Geographical Research Skills and Academic self-esteem among Student’s Teachers of The Geography Division of The Girls' College.

هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن فاعلية استراتيجيتي الأبعاد السداسية (PDEODE ) وحدائق الأفكار في تنمية مهارات البحث الجغرافي وتقدير الذات الأكاديمية لدى الطالبات المعلمات شعبة الجغرافيا بكلية البنات ، كما هدفت الدراسة أيضًا إلى الكشف عن أي الاستراتيجيتين أكثر تأثيرًا في تنمية مهارات البحث الجغرافي وتقدير الذات الأكاديمية لدى هؤلاء الطالبات ، وتحددت مشكلة الدراسة في ضعف إمتلاك مهارات البحث الجغرافي وتقدير الذات الأكاديمية لدى الطالبات المعلمات شعبة الجغرافيا بكلية البنات، لذا سعت الدراسة الحالية معالجة تلك الضعف من خلال استخدام استراتيجيتين من استراتيجيات التدريس الحديثة التي تتوافق مع موضوعات الجغرافيا وتراعي إمكانات وقدرات الطالبات، وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من مجموعتين تجريبيتين ومجموعة ضابطة بواقع (۹۰) طالبة، وأوضحت نتائج الدراسة فاعلية استراتيجيتي الأبعاد السداسية (PDEODE ) وحدائق الأفكار في تنمية مهارات البحث الجغرافي وتقدير الذات الأكاديمي ؛ حيث بلغ حجم تأثير استخدام استراتيجية الأبعاد السداسية ( PDEODE) بالنسبة لامتلاك الطالبات المهارات البحث الجغرافي (75) ) ، كما بلغ حجم التأثير بالنسبة لتقدير الطالبات للذات الأكاديمية (82) ، وبلغ أيضا حجم تأثير استخدام استراتيجية حدائق الأفكار بالنسبة لامتلاك الطالبات المهارات البحث الجغرافي (۸۲) ، كما بلغ حجم التأثير بالنسبة لتقدير الطالبات للذات الأكاديمية (٨٦) وهو حجم تأثير مرتفع لأنه زاد عن (١٤) ، مما يعني أن لاستخدام كلاً من استراتيجيتي الأبعاد السداسية ( PDEODE) وحدائق الأفكار تأثير كبير على امتلاك الطالبات المهارات البحث الجغرافي وتقدير الذات الأكاديمية، كما أوضحت نتائج الدراسة أن استراتيجية حدائق الأفكار أكثر تأثيرًا في تنمية مهارات البحث الجغرافي وتقدير الذات الأكاديمية عن استراتيجية الأبعاد السداسية (PDEODE ) ، وأوصت الدراسة الحالية بضرورة تضمين مهارات البحث الجغرافي في مناهج الجغرافيا بالمراحل الدراسية المختلفة، كما أوصت بضرورة بناء وحدات تدريسية في الجغرافيا باستخدام استراتيجيات تدريسية تهتم بتنمية مهارات البحث الجغرافي وتراعي احتياجات الطالبات. The current study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of the sixdimensional strategies (PDEODE) and Gardens of Ideas in developing geographical research skills and academic self-esteem among female student teachers in the Geography Department at the Women’s College. The study also aimed to reveal which of the two strategies is more influential in developing geographical research skills and academic selfesteem. Among these students, the problem of the study was identified in the weak possession of geographical research skills and academic selfesteem among the female student teachers in the Geography Division at the Women’s College, therefore, the current study sought to address this weakness by using two modern teaching strategies that are compatible with geography topics and take into account the potential and capabilities of female students. The study sample consisted of two experimental groups and a control group with (90) female students. The results of the study demonstrated the effectiveness of the two six-dimensional (PDEODE) strategies. And gardens of ideas in developing geographical research skills and academic self-esteem, the size of the effect of using the six-dimensional strategy (PDEODE) on female students’ possession of geographical research skills was (.75), and the size of the effect on female students’ academic self-esteem was (.82), and the size of the effect of using the Gardens of Ideas strategy on female students’ possession of geographical research skills was also reached. (.82), and the effect size for female students’ academic self-esteem was (.86), which is a high effect size because it exceeded (.14), Which means that using both the sixdimensional strategies (PDEODE) and the Gardens of Ideas has a significant impact on female students’ possession of geographical research skills and academic self-esteem. The results of the study also showed that the Gardens of Ideas strategy is more influential in developing geographical research skills and academic self-esteem than the sixdimensional strategy (PDEODE), and the current study recommended the necessity of including geographical research skills in the geography curricula at the various academic levels. It also recommended the necessity of building teaching units in geography using teaching strategies concerned with developing geographical research skills and taking into account the needs of female students.
