A study of the management on Open Gardens in Japan - As a case study of hospitality management. (English)
    • Abstract:
From a result of the survey, the hosts of the open garden in Japan tend to commit to not only their green community but also the local society they have settled themselves. However, in order to keep holding the open garden activity under like the covid-19 situation, they need to have the mind of communicating with others much more than before without having to worry about it. Actually, Oiso, one of the most famous "resort towns" in Japan, resumed their activity the first time in two year "after the coronavirus." On the other hand, Nagareyama city, a typical "satellite city" of Tokyo, never held an open garden these three years yet. Therefore we should motivate the hosts of the open garden to welcome visitors for managing an open garden activity in Japan. That means we should seek the way of building strong relationships between visitors and residents, as they could handle other tourism resources in their area together. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
