Introduction: A Manifesto for Disability Studies in Romania. (English)
- Subject Terms:
- Abstract:
This article introduces the special issue and offers a programmatic critical discussion of the state of disability rights and studies in Romania today. It proposes new language and epistemic frameworks in academic research and invites the readers to become attuned to especially the knowledge offered here by persons with disabilities in the first part of the issue. As allies, we try to model this approach to knowledge making in the second part of the issue. Our approaches are interdisciplinary and reach out from history to literary studies and disability rights activism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
