Men at work.

This article focuses on the need for the nursing field to recruit more men to meet healthcare demands. It is suggested that men are the largest untapped resource for potential nurses. Strategies must be identified to make nursing a more appealing career choice for men. There is not much diversity of gender among nurses. There is a need for gender and cultural differences to be integrated in the delivery of patient care services. Several barriers that men confront in nursing careers are also presented, in addition to strategies for recruiting men.
