      The article presents information related to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance issues in the U.S. The SOX process demands a lot of documentation, so many smaller companies refrained to comply with this act. Compliance under the SOX provides an excellent opportunity for business firms to improve their strategic management processes. The article also reports on experiences of some financial executives on the challenges they encountered by their companies during first year of compliance under the SOX.
