- Abstract:
The article focuses on the war against nuclear terrorism, which still poses a great risk, after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the U.S. According to sources, as the fifth year from the 9/11 terrorist attacks approaches, skeptics suggest that it was a hundred year flood. Considering the attempts to assess the current situation and risks, it has been stressed by the 9/11 Commission that the principal failure to act to prevent the September 11 attacks was a failure of imagination. Thus, it has been stressed that the U.S. can not undertake or sustain this war on nuclear terrorism alone. A deep and steady international cooperation is considered necessary, rooted in the recognition that nations share an overriding common threat and can only succeed with common strategy.
