- Abstract:
The article reports on the new buzz word, collective intelligence, in which the business world was already criticized for its inflated jargon and overuse of acronyms. Thus, "Fortune" magazine discussed with director Thomas Malone of the Center for Collective Intelligence at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, on how connectivity has been part of the changing world. According to Malone, collective intelligence is a crystallization of unprecedented technological and organizational opportunities. Google and Wikipedia are examples of this technology, which give people access to information so that they can make decisions themselves, instead of just following orders from their superiors.
