- Abstract:
The article reports on a study conducted in Switzerland to 200 patients with non-neurogenic coverative bladder placed on a therapy involving of botulinium toxin A, 100 U, injected into the detrusor muscle at 30 different sites. Researchers reported that 87% of treated patient showed bladder function improvements within two weeks and that the duration of the effect lasted a mean of 8.5 months. Shlomo Raz, professor of urology, said that further comparative study is needed to confirm the findings.
