- Abstract:
In this paper, we describe the fabrication of a densely packed ultrathin film of carbon nanotubes (single-walled and multi-walled) using a liquid-liquid interface. The carbon nanotubes were dispersed in water and then n-hexane was added to the vessel to create a liquid-liquid interface. After addition of ethanol, we observed that CNTs assembled at the interface. The assembled films were transferred to a solid substrate by dipping. AFM images of the transferred film show closely packed CNTs films with nanometer thickness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
