- Abstract:
The article describes the structure of the Galapagos Islands, in which natural scientist Charles Darwin first encountered them in 1835. It says that the Galapagos Islands, which have been called as Darwin's Living Laboratory, provide unique opportunities to study evolution and natural selection where plants and animal have adapted to survive in specific environmental niches. A table is also presented depicting habitats of the islands, along with geological features and environmental conditions.
