The article reports on how the village of San Pedro de Jagua in Colombia was pillaged by Liberal guerrillas led by Tulio Bautista. The guerrillas disguised themselves in stolen military uniforms and easily routed the defenders. They looted the village and released a single Liberal in jail. Then they burned the buildings except for the school and church. The guerrillas did not rape or kidnap the village women because these were prohibited by Tulio's co-commander who is a woman.
