- Abstract:
The article reports on the decision of unemployed job seekers to refuse thousands of vacant jobs in the industrial sector in the U.S. in November 1945, which is a trend that is greatly affecting the country's output of goods and services. It says that employers who have been very selective in hiring employees are now eager and willing to hire almost anybody. According to the author, job seekers are refusing the jobs being offered to them disdainfully. The conflicting points of view between the unions and the management representatives are also discussed.
