    • Abstract:
The article analyzes the poor showing of the conservative political action committees (PACs) in the 1976 U.S. election. Only 30 candidates won out of the 143 candidates supported by the Committee for the Survival of a Free Congress (CSFC). The Conservative Victory Fund had 15 winners out of 50 candidates while the National Conservative Political Action Committee (NCPAC) had 130 winners in a field of 208 candidates. The article also speculates that corporate political action committees dull the efforts of right-wing PACs.
