    • Abstract:
      Sulayman ibn Kathir el-Khuzai was the most famous Arabic leader of Khurasan the during Abbasid Revolution. In several times he and his tribe(Khuzâ) acted on behalf of Abbasids in Marw. So Sulayman ibn Kathir el-Khuzai was appreciated by Imam Muhammad ibn Ali. But the situtation has changed after the revolution. The events developed against him. Eventually he was killed by Abu Muslim Al-Khurasani in H. 132/A.D. 750. The slaying of Sulayman ibn Kathir el-Khuzai was a tragedy and this tragedy was one of the most enigmatic incidents in Islamic History. Thus, in this study we will explain the reasons of this murder.       Süleyman bin Kesir el-Huzai, Abbasi ihtilali esnasında Horasan'ın en meşhur Arap lideri idi. O ve onun kabilesi (Huzâ) uzun yıllar boyunca Merv şehrinde Abbasiler adına faaliyet gösterdiler. Bu yüzden Süleyman bin Kesir el-Huzai, İmam Muhammed bin Ali tarafından takdir edilmiştir. Ancak bu durum ihtilal sonrası değişti. Olaylar onun aleyhine gelişmeye başladı. Nihayetinde H.132/750 tarihinde Ebu Müslim el-Horasani tarafından öldürüldü. Süleyman bin Kesir'in öldürülüşü, bir trajedi idi ve bu trajedi İslam Tarihinin en problemli olaylarından birisidir.
