The article discusses the state of U.S. agriculture in 1922. It notes that farmers are expecting the harvest to restore them to a reasonable degree of prosperity. It says that while recovery has not been sensationally rapid, farmers will be in the market for a satisfactory volume of merchandise and they turn their new crops to money. It points that farmers also realize that their wellbeing is dependent on the wellbeing of their and their attitude towards packers is more enlightened.
