      The article presents the report of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the actions taken by the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for implementing the regulations of the Emergency Management Act after the disaster by Hurricane Katrina in the U.S. It informs that FEMA developed a national exercise program for conducting periodic national exercises. It mentions that GAO reviewed the documents including emergency response and implementation plans for this study.
