Abstract: El proyecto aborda el desafío de superar la barrera ferroviaria para mejorar la calidad de vida de la ciudadanía y fomentar un desarrollo sostenible y social. El soterramiento de las vías de Alcalá de Henares permitirá coser la brecha que supone el ferrocarril hoy en día y potenciará una mejor conexión de la ciudad, así como la creación de una gran cantidad de dotaciones de calidad para una urbe, como lo son las infraestructuras verdes, zonas de encuentro, equipamientos deportivos, espacios comunitarios, etc. Posicionar a esta ciudad, Patrimonio de la Humanidad, como un ejemplo a seguir en el panorama nacional es uno de los objetivos de este trabajo. Mejora la calidad de vida de su ciudadanía y garantiza una experiencia constructiva a las personas que vienen a visitar esta ciudad que, aunque posee un enorme patrimonio histórico, está siempre abierta al futuro y busca el bienestar común creando sociedad y vela por unos intereses transgresores. La creación de una nueva estación, además de mejorar las infraestructuras de la ciudad, crea un icono de reclamo turístico fomentando el comercio local y creado un espacio de encuentro, también para los complutenses. Se cuida en especial medida las soluciones constructivas y se utilizan sistemas coherentes que acercan lo industrial a la escala humana y facilitan su utilización de forma intuitiva, siempre pensando en la experiencias que tendrán los usuarios. Todo esto permite a Alcalá de Henares convertirse en un espacio más inclusivo, social, verde y referencial.
The project addresses the challenge of overcoming the railway barrier to improve the quality of life of citizens and promote sustainable and social development. The burying of the tracks in Alcalá de Henares will allow the gap that the railway represents today to be closed and will promote a better connection of the city, as well as the creation of a large number of important facilities for a city, such as green infrastructures, meeting areas, sports facilities, community spaces, etc... Positioning this World Heritage city as an example to follow on the national scene is one of the objectives of this work. It improves the quality of life of its citizens and guarantees a constructive experience to the people who come to visit this city which, although it has an enormous historical heritage, is always open to the future and seeks the common good by creating society and looks after transgressive interests. The creation of a new station, in addition to improving the city's infrastructures, creates a tourist attraction, promoting local commerce and creating a meeting place, also for the people of Complutense. Special care has been taken in the constructive solutions and coherent systems have been used that bring the industrial to the human scale and facilitate its use in an intuitive way, always thinking about the experiences that the users will have. All this allows Alcalá de Henares to become a more inclusive, social, green and referential space.
