Abstract: The environmental, economic, and social pillars of sustainability in human life have all been severely harmed by the COVID-19 epidemic. A study of the impact of COVID-19 on various aspects has been undertaken to determine the prospects in various fields. The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted education and the progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal- 4 (SDG- 4) - ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. It also unveiled the implicit weaknesses depending on classroom-based schooling and education. This research aims to peruse the influence of COVID-19 on SDG4. To achieve that, the following research questions are addressed by a systematic review of the literature: (i) What impact has been laid on education by COVID-19 on the general public and the underprivileged? (ii) What has been the role of technology in education during COVID-19? (iii) What relationship exists between COVID-19, education inequality, and poverty? (iv) What are the strategies for addressing the impact of COVID-19 on achieving SDG- 4?
