    • Abstract:
      We present the synthesis and characterization of organic materials by scanning probe microscopy. We describe on-surface chemistry routes to synthesize square-like porphyrin tetramers with a central cyclooctatetraene ring on Ag(100), gulf-type graphene nanoribbons, as well as their lateral fusing towards nanoporous graphene structures on Au(111). Moreover, we include an analysis of the structural defects and reaction pathways towards the main reaction products of the nanoribbon synthesis. Die Arbeit zeigt die Synthese und Charakterisierung von organischen Materialien mittels Rastersondenmikroskopie. Beschrieben wird die Synthese von Porphyrin-Tetrameren mit einem zentralen Cyclooctatetraen-Ring auf Ag(100), von Graphen-Nanobändern mit golfartigen Kantenterminierungen, sowie deren laterale Verbindung zu nanoporösen Graphen-Strukturen auf Au(111). Weiters werden die strukturellen Defekte und Reaktionswege zu den wichtigsten Produkten der Nanoband-Synthese analysiert.
