Abstract: No matter how many philosophical, physical, psychological, and sociological theories, interpretations, and analyses are put forward about human beings, the ultimate reality that surrounds them is the reality of everyday life. Social order and predictability are maintained through the routines of everyday life, thus it eliminates the insecurity brought by uncertainty. When individuals are born, they become part of the everyday life order of the society they belong to. Through their physical and social environment, temporal and spatial contexts, and conscious or unconscious actions, they create their own life. This study aims to analyze the everyday life sociology of the TV series "Gassal", which is about the daily life of a gassal who performs a religious ritual about death, through the main character, and to make some inferences on this subject. This study is unique and significant as it analyzes the sociology of everyday life through the profession ‘’gassal’’, which can be seen as a paradox. By reviewing the relevant literature, everyday life was explained through the frameworks of “routines and rhythms,” “temporality,” “spatiality,” “phenomenology,” “structure-agent,” and “strategy-tactic.” TV series "Gassal" was subjected to the analysis of the sociology of everyday life by using the same titles through the everyday life of the main character with qualitative method, phenomenology pattern, and document analysis technique, and was interpreted by making various inferences.
İnsana dair ne kadar felsefi, fiziksel, psikolojik, sosyolojik teoriler, yorumlar ve analizler ortaya konulsa da nihayetinde insanı sarıp sarmalayan gerçeklik gündelik hayat gerçekliğidir. Gündelik hayat rutinleri ile toplumsal düzen ve öngörülebilirlik sağlanır böylece bilinmezliğin getirdiği güvensizlik giderilmiş olur. Kişiler dünyaya geldiklerinde ait oldukları toplumun gündelik hayat düzenine dahil olur. Fiziksel ve toplumsal çevresiyle, zamansal ve mekânsal bağlamıyla, bilinçli, bilinçsiz edimleriyle kendine ait bir yaşam dünyası oluşturur. Bu çalışma ile ölüme dair dini bir ritüeli gerçekleştiren bir gassalın gündelik hayatını konu alan “gassal” dizi filmini, baş karakteri üzerinden gündelik hayat sosyolojisi analizine tabi tutmak ve bu konuda birtakım çıkarımlarda bulunmak amaçlanmaktadır. Bu çalışma gündelik hayat sosyolojisi analizini bir paradoks olarak görülebilecek “gassallık” mesleği ve bir dizi film üzerinden anlatması açısından farklıdır ve önemlidir. Bu çalışma ile, ilgili literatür taranmış gündelik hayat; “rutinler, ritimler”, “zamansallık”, “mekânsallık”, “fenomenoloji”, “yapı-fail”, “strateji-taktik” bağlamları üzerinden açıklanmıştır. Aynı başlıklar kullanılarak “gassal” dizi filmi, baş karakterinin gündelik hayatı üzerinden; nitel yöntem, fenomenoloji deseni, doküman analizi tekniği ile gündelik hayat sosyolojisi analizine tabi tutulmuş, çeşitli çıkarımlarda bulunularak yorumlanmıştır.
