Recent perspectives developed in the field of Art History have relied on clothing as a vehicle to study tastes, fashion, and mentalities. However, the amount of research that focuses on the artisans who manufactured the clothes represented in royal paintings remains very scarce. Drawing on records of payments made to Philip IV's cloakroom attendant, this paper aims at exploring the identity of these artisans. ; Las últimas tendencias y perspectivas de la Historia del Arte han evolucionado hacia el estudio de la indumentaria histórica como fuente de gustos, modas y mentalidades. Una de sus carencias, sin embargo, ha sido la falta de estudios en conocer quiénes fueron los encargados de realizar las manufacturas representadas en las pinturas regias. A través de los pagos del guardarropa de Felipe IV se pretende dar nombre a estos artesanos.
