Abstract: [eng] The LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) community is one relatively recent, that has been obtaining more importance in the recent years, not without causing controversies in the process and facing several difficulties on its way to obtain equality for all its members. This study wants to give more knowledge about the community, explaining its general story, its impact across the world and in Spain, specially focusing on the impact it has on the tourism industry and in Palma de Mallorca. For this reason, a survey asking both tourists and residents of the city has been made, with the purpose of knowing the general expenses, degree of feeling of security of the community, and the offer of activities for this kind of tourist. After getting a sample of 150 replies, and doing a descriptive analysis on the data obtained, the study concludes that there is a lack of offer of services for the collective, and thus, as opposed to studies telling that there is a higher level of expense of the LGBTQ+ tourist, we find that, by a slight difference, there is a lower general expense of this kind of tourist in contrast to the non LGBTQ+ one in the city.
