Mathematical modeling competency is one of the specific competencies that is emphasized. This not only enhances students' logical thinking but also helps them gain a deeper understanding of the nature of mathematics and its flexible applications in life. This is a crucial competency that connects mathematics with other fields such as engineering, science, economics, and society. This article focuses on analyzing the manifestations of students' mathematical modeling competency and proposes measures to develop this competency in 10th-grade students through the topic of “Solving Triangles and Their Practical Applications”. ; Toán học góp phần quan trọng trong việc hình thành và phát triển cho học sinh các năng lực toán học, bao gồm các năng lực cốt lõi như: năng lực tư duy và lập luận, năng lực giải quyết vấn đề, năng lực mô hình hóa, năng lực giao tiếp toán học cũng như năng lực sử dụng các công cụ, phương tiện hỗ trợ học tập.
