Spraying the Capital ; Pichando a Capital

Between the 1980s and 1990s, the city of Teresina (PI) observed the formation of grupos of young people unhappy with the direction that the capital of Piauí was taking. The pichação, in its different modalities, it was the communication channel that young people used to position in the face of the arid and insensitive scenario that involved the most impoverished residentes of the largest city in Piauí, that is, there is a direct relationship between the state in which Teresina found, and the beginning of the formation of groups of young people who had pichação as their cultural practice. The essay that is now summarized seeks in the images the narratives that young people printed on the city body. ; Entre os anos 1980 e 1990, a cidade de Teresina (PI) observava a formação de grupos de jovens descontentes com os rumos que a capital piauiense tomava. A pichação, em suas diferentes modalidades, foi o canal de comunicação que os jovens se serviram para se posicionar ante o cenário árido e insensível que envolvia os residentes mais empobrecidos da maior urbe piauiense, isto é, há uma relação direta entre o estado em que Teresina se encontrava, e o início da formação de grupos de jovens que tinham a pichação como prática cultural. O ensaio que ora se resume, procura nas imagens as narrativas que os jovens imprimiam sobre o corpo citadino.
